Regional program Middle East and North Africa of National Democratic Institute for International Affairs – NDI, engaged member of ProConcept team in period from 01.11.2005. to 10.12.2005. as a Project Consultant on realization of a project for local election monitoring of partner NDI organizations in Egypt.
Trainings and consultations were done with coalitions of non-governmental organizations which were in charge for election monitoring: Independent Committee for election monitoring and Egypt Association for democratic development support.
With local NGO representatives there has been work on planning the monitoring mission, internal communication, making the action plan for election monitoring, establishing and promoting cooperation and information exchange between NGOs both from the internal and external coalitions and there has been work on improving the information system.
In total, there were four trainings for the local coordinators where the main topic was internal communication, regrutation and observers employment. There were two trainings about NGO management and strategic planning. Four trainings were held in cooperation with regional and local coalition coordinators for the observers and 108 people attended those trainings.
The Eurasia regional program
The Eurasia regional program of National Democratic Institute for International Affairs – NDI, engaged member of ProConcept team in period from 25.10.2005. to 25.05.2005. to assist realization of a project for local election monitoring of partner NDI organizations in Moldova.
ProConcept had consulting role as a Civic adviser of NDI Moldova. In order to successfully prepare and perform project for local election monitoring in Moldova – “ Civil coalition for free and fair elections – Coalition 2005” which were held on 6th of March 2005., it was necessary to develop capacities for representatives of three NGOs: Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Moldova, League for Defense of Human Rights (LADOM) and Association for Participatory Democracy
